Memorial Day Fly-in

(5/25/2024)

The EAA club (Experimental Aircraft Association) is hosting a fly-in breakfast at the municipal airport the morning of May 25th. Breakfast will be served from 7AM to 10AM. A $10 donation is recommended to support the local EAA club and offset the cost of the breakfast. Come on out and check out the airplanes. All are welcome whether you're a pilot or not!

The airport can be found on the About page, or simply by searching the Web for "Moses Lake Municipal Airport." Here's a map of the airport. Planes can park in the tiedown area just north of the pilot lounge and cars can park in front (to the east) of the pilot lounge. This is located about half-way down along the east side of the airport.

EAA BBQ & Corn Feed
(9/16/2023)

ATTENTION: Moses Lake EAA's Fly-In BBQ & Corn Feed has been slightly altered, due to some issues with the city. The location has been changed to a crop duster strip 3 miles north of Moses Lake Municipal Airport (W20). It's a paved strip about 3,500 feet long. Frequency is the same as W20, which is 123.00. Landings are to the north and takeoffs are to the south, to avoid Grant County's Class D airspace. The rest of the details are the same. The EAA club (Experimental Aircraft Association) is hosting the fly-in and BBQ & Corn Feed on Saturday, September 16th. The fly-in is from 11am to 5pm. Lunch will be served from noon to 2pm and will consist of BBQ pork ribs, roasted corn, homegrown tomatoes, watermelon, and root beer. Suggested donation is $20 for adults and $5 for kids. If you're driving, head north past the municipal airport on Rd L NE until you tee into Rd 7 NE. Turn right on Rd 7 NE. The airport is on the right after one block.

Memorial Day Fly-in
(5/27/2023)

The EAA club (Experimental Aircraft Association) is hosting a fly-in and breakfast at the municipal airport the morning of May 27th. Free breakfast will be provided from 7AM to 10AM, although donations are accepted to support the local EAA club and offset the cost of the breakfast. Come on out and check out the airplanes, including the one that the EAA club is building. All are welcome whether you're a pilot or not!

The airport can be found on the About page, or simply by searching for "Moses Lake Municipal Airport." Here's a map of the airport. Planes can park in the tiedown area just north of the pilot lounge and cars can park in front (to the east) of the pilot lounge. This is located about half-way down along the east side of the airport.

Cinco de Mayo STOL School
(5/5 - 5/7, 2023)

This event will be held the first weekend of May, 2023. This is not a competition and no prior STOL (short-takeoff-and-landing) experience is required. The event will begin on Friday evening after work, May 5th. This will simply be a time to eat and hang out. There will be a BBQ, so come if you can make it.

On Saturday, we'll receive training by experienced STOL pilots, including some folks who have judged the world-famous STOL competition at Valdez, Alaska. We anticipate some actual STOL practice, so you're welcome to fly in and practice with whatever airplane you have. Check our runways page. If your plane can land on our runway, then you're sure to be able to pick up some tips and hone your short-takeoff-and-landing skills, even if your plane isn't a hard-core STOL plane.

Go to the Mayday STOL website for more details and to register.
